Enchanté

In his first actual greeting to Brad & Janet, Dr. Franke-n-futer exclaims "enchanté!" to the terrified two as they stand before him in their underwear. "What charming underclothes you both have" he goes onto say as Janet giggles. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, you must see Rocky Horror Picture Show (that's an order). "Enchanté" was the first word that came to mind when putting on this Rocky-Horror like red lip color on. But first, let's go through my outfit and we'll get to my makeup at the end. For a nice city day strolling through Central Park, I sported this crisp black & white ensemble. My gorgeous top is vintage, a gift to me from my mom. I'm in love with the open shoulders and ornate bib-like embroidered design, simple enough to pair with a leather short, but extravagant enough where no necklace or heavy jewelry is needed. My shorts are c/o of Urban Outfitters, and made by some days lovin. I paired this all with my Steve Madden Tiper Black Pony Wedges- (let's all take a moment and gander at their beauty......but seriously, how pretty are they!! They're currently on sale and you can find them here). And finally, my glasses are from Forever 21.

Time to talk about that lip color. Okay, so if you know me well, you know that one of my guilty pleasures is watching the Bachelor/ Bachelorette (surprise?), and on the season before last, one of my favorite girls pining for Juan Pablo's heart was Sharleen Joynt. She has a fabulous blog, which you can find here and when reading up on her Bachelor fashion, (i.e what she wore on the show/ her makeup) I came across her favorite red lip combo and knew I had to try it because it suited her to perfection! The combo is Makeup Forever's Aqua Waterproof Lip Liner in Red 8C and Sephora's Collection Cream Lip Stain in Always Red. It is one hell of a combination for sure! And I put it to the test, through 80 degree summer New York City heat, Starbucks, Whole Foods Sushi, and two smart waters, my lip color did not budge all day. So thank you Sharleen for that incredible discovery and I highly highly recommend it to you guys if you're looking for a new red lip to try.

Otherwise, that's about it! Simple, sweet, but still dramatic & eye-catching. (Now go watch RHPS, but seriously;]!)
