Bang Bang Shoot 'Em Up

Back in the 212, ya'lllllll (yes, I titled this outfit after a Cobra Starship song). So happy to be here enjoying my last few days before school starts. Today I went for a casual transition look since it was a bit chillier here than it has been. I started with this plain black Brandy Melville tee that I literally have been and will continue to live in for the entire year (its soooo comfortable). I added one of my favorite pairs of BDG light wash shorts, and I left the shirt semi-tucked in. Since it was a bit colder (really, Alanna? 70 degrees is your excuse to wear a beanie? lolol), I threw on my black beanie that I purchased last year from Shopjeen. I added my new favorite boots as well, my Jeffrey Campbell Soulmans

Finally, I wanted to add something at my waist without it being too typical. Since I've seen a trillion different Manahattanites with flannels tied at their waist, I decided to be a little different and use this graphic Guns N Roses Sweatshirt. (Funny anecdote: I once gave Duff McKagan and his daughter a tour of FCLC in this sweatshirt totally by coincidence- yeah, it was as awkward as it sounds---they were lovely though!). I purchased this one from Urban Outfitters a few seasons ago and I have sported it to NYFW in the past. Pro tip: double knot your sleeves when wearing something around your waist like this, because it will fall if you don't.
