Powder Blue ♡ Twenty Fourteen

We took a sweet day trip to Amalfi and Ravello today, and the weather and atmosphere was absolutely perfect! Between the pastels and the turquoise water, I have absolutely fallen in love with this coast.

On this hot and gorgeoussss day, I decided to wear this awesome black romper c/o Urban Outfitters. I've belted it (it's pretty loose) to give it a little shape and have it hug my waist. I simply folded over the upper fabric to give it a seamless illusion. I paired this romper with this SPECTACULAR powder blue leather jacket ('powder blue leather jacket' sounds absolutely horrid, but I promise you it's so unique and really looks amazing) I just purchased here in Salerno from a boutique called G+G. It has structured sleeves (my favorite!) and a gathered finish on the hems on the sleeves and bottom. The cut is also a bit of a crop, so it's perfect for summer. To make this outfit a little more fun, I added a black plastic choker, which is pretty trendy and I kinda dig it. My usuals, Ray Bans + sandals c/o UO finished this outfit off.

Details of life in Amalfi...

By the Sea, Mr. Todd ♡ Twenty Fourteen

Kudos if you catch the reference in my title...
I'm by the Amalfi Coast for the next few days and it is an absolutely glorious way to ring in summer. Although hot out, I simply cannot give up my love for wearing black structured pieces, so I opted for this look during our stroll today shopping in Salerno.

I'm sporting this adorable black striped/ sheer top from Forever 21 that is perfect for hot summer days, the sleeves are cut off and the sheer material gives room for the fabric to breathe. I paired it with my black circle skirt, also from Forever 21, and my big comfy sweater from Brandy Melville to ease the cool breezes. I of course am still sporting my UO sandals, cause they're adorable and simply match everything I've got in my suitcase.

This is just a close up of my top, and I've put a simple black bandeau-bralette underneath. Additionally, to give the look a little sparkle (besides the massive arm candy on my wrists) I opted for three necklaces- the first, rose gold by Michael Kors (a gift from Miss Amanda), the second, a silver sun that I actually got in Italy when I first came here (not bad, six year old self) and finally, a longer necklace with a leather chain, a few little silver and green details and a gold feather which I just received as a gift from my cousin! (thank you Giuliana!)
I'm obsessed with layering necklaces and I think it's even more interesting to pair different 'mediums' of necklaces together, i.e gold, silver, rose gold, leather.

Now for some snaps of the city..

Love the gorgeous buildings so far..

White | Black | Pink All Over ♔ Twenty Fourteen

Nothing as simple yet sophisticated as pairing some black and white with fun glasses. I did this the other day when doing some shopping by the Ponte Vecchio here in Florence. I'm obsessed with this new white fringe top I purchased from Zara in Milan and I paired it with my favorite new black leather shorts c/o UO.

My glasses add a nice pop of contrast and are from Necessary Clothing. I'm also sporting this amazing leather bag I purchased here in Florence's Leather Market, and I'm loving the fold over style as well as the beige color. My shoes are c/o UO.

Tied ♔ Twenty Fourteen

In love with the street art as well as the gallery art here, so when it came to choosing an outfit for exploring Florence's artsy areas, I went with something trendy and creative, but still subdued.

So, I picked this adorable tie-dye romper from UO of course! I'm not completely a huge fan of tie dye, but I'm really liking this subtle blue and brown take on it. This jumpsuit is super comfy and incredibly versatile>> add some sandals to keep it casual or throw on some wedges for an evening look.

In love with the back of this as well- I threw on a black bandeau to make it a bit more conservative.

Paired this all with my black Dailylook bag, and my usual Ray Ban Clubmasters. (I've also been essentially living in these sandals from UO, they're comfortable and much more durable than I expected!)

Yay for creepy street art people? But seriously, I saw the same "Cupid" four years ago.
