February Favorites ♡ Twenty Fourteen

Ahhhh, how is it almost March? February basically flew by, and it was honestly a great time. With fashion week, settling back into NYC, and getting back into the swing of classes and city nights, it's been a blast. This month I have a lot of pink favorites, ironically, but let's get started>>>>

Makeup

01. Mac's Pigment in Tan- Been using this nearly every day on my lid, foiled with my Mac 239. It's a nice bright shimmer that's great with a deep crease and a black wing, which is usually the look I'm sporting. I like pairing this with Mac's Soft Brown, Cork, or Mulch.

02. Mac's Green Smoke- Totally rediscovered this shadow this month! It's amazing for deepening up a day to night eye- just pop a little in your outer corner and you're good to go. It takes a few strokes of the brush and some blending to fully get the color, but it's totally worth it and compliments any eye color.

03. NARS Oasis- A rosy-gold blush I've been reaching for all month! This is a bit of a muted version of Mac's Plum Foolery, and I really like the more neutral but still radiant flair it gives. I'd recommend this blush to anyone in search for something to brighten up dry winter skin.

04. Benefit's Moonbeam- On my nights out, I've been loving Moon Beam for my cheek highlight! I love the goldy-rose shimmer it gives, and I like to apply it by dotting three dots of this product on each of my cheekbones. I then blend it in with my fourth finger. The shine gives a beautiful frame to any skin tone.

05. Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine- Another product in my collection that I rediscovered this month, and can I just say.... it's HEAVEN! Perhaps the creamiest, most moisturizing lip balm I've ever used. It'll totally rescue the dryest and chapped of lips.

06. Mac's Rags to Riches- In lieu of Pantone's Color of 2014, Radiant Orchid, I've been loving a purpley-pink lip. Rags to Riches is a gorgeous glitter-filled dazzle glass that I've been reaching for, and it's like the perfect radiant orchid shade without being too overwhelming!

07. Mac's Snob- Another inspired lip from "Radiant Orchid!" It's a great purpley pink that's a lot bolder than the Rags to Riches look. Snob is a great color if you're looking to switch up your makeup and have a little fun.

Beauty

08. Mac's Brush Cleanser- I've been totally spot cleaning my brushes a ton more than I ever have before (partly because I find that eyeliner brushes and other eye brushes apply shadow or liner a lot easier if spot cleaned). So, I've been using my Mac Cleanser EVERYDAY! I like to clean my angled eyeliner brush with this before I do my winged liner. I find that the line comes out a lot cleaner and smoother with a clean brush every morning.

09. Soap & Glory's Flake Away Exfoliator- This is my third or fourth time repurchasing this exfoliator (the last time being over the summer) and I am so happy I stumbled upon it once again! This is perfect for any time of year.. especially winter months.. and it smells simply glorious. It leaves your skin completely soft and silky.

Fashion/ Accessories

10. Dr. Martens- Ahhh, am I so happy I got my hands on a pair of these. I've been wearing my white-patent leather Dr. Martens a ton this month, and I now want a second pair. (Perhaps Black Matte....!)

11. H&M Bib Necklace- This was a great purchase for me, affordable & super cute. I'd definitely run over to your nearest H&M to check out the bib necklaces they have going on, they're going to be huge for Spring.

Instas

01. NYFW WRAP PARTY @ The Highline Hotel
02. Poloroids taken with my Fujifilm Insta Mini
03. Happy Birthday Killer Queen!
04. New York Fashion Week

I hope everyone had as much as a blast as I did this month!
[So thankful for the events I was able to attend this month, big shoutout to my friend Flor for making those possible. Check out her website and blog !]

Black, White& Red All Over: Winter Wear ♡ Twenty Fourteen

I've been taking a new edge with my style lately with more crisp pieces. MBFW has inspired me to search for more clean cut lines and shapes.

With this look, I paired together lots of geometric pieces, and I love the way it turned out.

After all, you can't go wrong with black & white.

Oversized wool coats are a 2014 staple this year, so I started building this outfit around my gorgeous Tulle wool coat. Winter white will never go out of fashion, and I think it adds a certain crispness to this look. The pop of yellow in the lining helps to add some dimension and originality to the stark neutral colors. Underneath, I paired my white coat with a Brandy Melville loose tee that's a bit of an off-black browny shade. I think this adds a nice unexpected contrast to the black and denim in the rest of the look.

As for denim, I went with this Brandy Melville high-waisted pair of jeans. I simply adore the wash, and I think the four-seamed leg makes the pant totally interesting. My vintage envelope bag plays off the jean seams and adds some sophistication.

My hat, c/o Forever 21, frames my face nicely, and the crisp edges truly compliment the crispness of the wool coat. I paired this entire look with Mac's Sail La Vie, perhaps my favorite blood-orange red in my lipstick collection.

Finally, these gorgeous black and white closed toe heels are Deena & Ozzy, c/o of Urban Outfitters. I'm simply in love with the look of these mixed with the denim, and I think they truly finish off this outfit.
